Bron-y-gader account

Cadets recently enjoyed another stay at the Bron-y-gader outdoor persuits centre in North Wales.  Here is an account by one of the cadets:

Bron-Y-Gader is a remote building in North Wales about 30 minutes away from Llandudno. It is towards the top of a big steep hill and once the mini bus has got up there the view is amazing!  95 Crewe cadets attend a camp here every year and this year was no exception!

On the 24th July to 29th this large house was invaded by us (95 Crewe) and Stafford Squadron for 6 days. During this time it was an exciting week of none stop activities including Kayaking, Hill Walking and orienteering, High Ropes and Mountain Biking.

Once we were split into our flights (2 groups) we headed off to our days activities. The activities were great fun, with trying not to get lost orienteering and having to keep your balance on the high ropes course. I think the funniest moment was watching people capsize on the lake during kayaking!- they were all safe though with all the safety equipment and trained staff!

Once we got back each evening we enjoyed marvellous food cooked by the staff, including a themed night full roast dinner! After diner and when the washing up was done we had inter flight games of twister, games and a music video competition! Most of the time was spend chatting to other cadets which is the best way to make new friends.

Over all this years Brony (as its called by everyone) was a success and we are all looking forward to next years camp!
